The master of the campfire says, "Now we are going to recognize and welcome a new group of campers. Some of you may remember the campfire when you received a similar welcome. As I call your names, let each new camper come forward and place a small stick on the fire, showing that you are now a member of your council fire brotherhood. Then face the group and raise your right arm in greeting." As each Scout raises his arm, the rest of the troop calls out "how." Then the Scout resumes his seat in the campfire circle.
