Method: Players face one another, with feet placed in a wide, firm stance. Players grip stick firmly with both hands, each with his left hand on the inside of opponent's right hand. On signal, each tries to get the stick to touch the ground on his right side by pushing down with the right hand and pulling up with the left. Scoring: Player succeeding in two out of three tries is the winner. Variation: Stick Twist. Players face one another and stand about a yard apart, gripping stick in similar manner as in Stick Fight, with the exception that contestants hold the stick at eye level or higher. The object is to bring the staff straight down without bending vvTist or elbows or having stick twist in hands.
