(Or use one log and one rope for all teams, and time with a stopwatch.) Method: Each patrol ties a timber hitch around the log. Then each Scout ties a bowline-on-a-bight at intervals along the rope (or overhand knots on double line, forming large loops). Then, the patrol places bights over their shoulders as a harness and drags the log 50 feet across the finish line. Scoring: The first patrol to cross the finish line with all knots tied correctly wins.
